Non-master chess tilt kicks off in SM Manila

MANILA – More than 150 wood pushers from different parts of the metropolis are expected to troop to SM Manila to join "Tulak Mo...Sulong Ko”, One Manila non-master chess tournament on Sunday.

Adamson University head coach Christopher Rodriguez of the tournament’s organizing committee said that the event is open to all non-master chess players aspiring to become a champion wood pusher someday.

The top winner will get P10,000 lion share plus trophy while the runner-up pockets P7,000. The third placer gets P5,000, fourth placer will bring home P3,000 and fifth placer will take P1,000.

The Sixth to tenth placers will also receive P500 each.

Also at stake is the category winner for the top lady, top kiddy (12 years old and below), top junior (18 years old and below) and top senior (50 years old and below) will receive P1,000 each.
