Pacquiao says he's motivated vs Marquez
GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- At Manny Pacquiao's all-purpose court at Mansion 2, he and his wife Jinkee have organized different sports tournaments.
The last few nights it’s been volleyball, complete with official trophies and prize money for the winners.
“Katuwaan lang… actually nag-umpisa sa mga employees ko lang dito. Dito kami nagba-Bible study,” said Jinkee.
Pacquiao enjoyed seeing his kababayans engaging in sports. He even tried some volleyball himself and shot a few basketballs.
Amid the games, Pacquiao said he is extra determined to defeat his next opponent on the ring Juan Manuel Marquez.
“Motivated ako. I want to win convincingly,” said Pacquiao.
The “Pac Mom,” Mommy Dionisia, won’t be travelling to Las Vegas for the fight but she wants a quick win for her son.
“Gusto kong daliin niya in one round, two rounds… oo, i-knockout mo na,” she said.
Before 6 a.m., Pacquiao was up and about in the General Santos Sports Complex for his roadwork.
The people of Gensan, especially the kids, are happy that they are getting a chance to see their idol in action. Come fight time, they will surely be cheering him on.
Pacquiao was very quick. His training team here is happy with the way his body has responded to the first few weeks of preparation, knowing his opponent Marquez is working just as hard.
