MANILA, Philippines – The world's best female cue artists will converge at the Resorts World Manila when Yalin Women's World 10-Ball Championship kicks off on Thursday.
Korea’s Ga Young Kim will be defending her title against a formidable line up which includes former champions Rubilen Amit, Jasmin Ouschan and Kelly Fisher, and legitimate contenders Allison Fisher, Yu Ram Cha and Siming Chen.
The game will be broadcast live on ABS-CBN’s Studio 23 from November 1 to 4.
The event is organized and promoted by Dragon Promotions.
"ABS-CBN is proud to see the Yalin Women's World 10-ball Championships grow from our first production 5 years ago to the premiere women's tournament in billiards. Our ongoing relationship with Dragon Promotions, perhaps the biggest and most active billiards promoters in the world, has allowed us to build an iconic event in women's billiards with the best and the brightest from 20 countries participating and broadcast live in all TFC and other foreign networks in three continents," Peter Musngi, former managing director and now consultant of ABS-CBN Sports, said in a statement.
"We couldn't ask for a better TV partner than ABS-CBN. Coming to Manila each year to work with them is like visiting old friends and relatives. Our two companies have enjoyed a lot of pride together as parents of the Women's World Championship and seeing it continue to grow. We are really pleased to see its interest grow internationally with other networks desiring to air it so that more people around the world can enjoy the event. Also importantly, seeing what a great country the Philippines truly is," said Charlie Williams, executive producer at Dragon Promotions.
