Fisher bags women's world 10-ball crown
MANILA, Philippines - Kelly Fisher of Great Britain capped an undefeated run in the Yalin Women's World 10-Ball Championship with a 10-4 victory over Taiwan's Pei Chen Tsai to win the title at Robinson's Galleria in Ortigas, Sunday night.
Fisher booked her 9th straight win in the tournament and took her first world 10-ball championship, besting a field of 70 pro players.
Tsai was able to hang with Fisher early in the game, twice tying the score at 1-1 and 3-3, but Fisher rattled off 6 straight racks to take control of the match.
Tsai was only able to win one more rack as Fisher raced to victory, bringing home the top prize of $20,000 in the process.
