The Adamson Lady Falcons is set to face Tuesday the resurgent Lyceum Lady Pirates for the second semis berth in the Shakey’s V-League second conference at The Arena in San Juan City.
According to a report posted on V-League.ph the Lady Falcons are virtually assured of a semifinal spot with a 4-1 slate.
The Falcons, however, will need additional firepower from their strikers to get past the Pirates, which bounced back in contention after posting two straight victories against three losses.
“We don’t have any special plan against Lyceum but we need to keep our form to advance,” said Adamson coach Dulce Pante.
Three-time champion La Salle clinched the first semis spot with a straight-set win over ousted St. Benilde Sunday, closing out its elims campaign with a 5-2 card.
With a 2-1 mark, UST is in fourth behind idle San Sebastian (3-1), hoping to notch its third win against FEU.
The FEU Lady Tams have lost their last two games to drop into a tie for fifth with the Lady Pirates at 2-3, making their 4 p.m. encounter with the Tigresses a crucial outing for the reigning UAAP champions.
After an opening game victory over Lyceum, Ateneo lost its next three matches and languished in seventh place. But the Lady Eagles hope to overcome the also-ran Lady Blazers and keep their flickering hopes alive in the tournament.
