MANILA – The University of Santo Tomas (UST) Tigresses denied the College of St. Benilde (CSB) Lady Blazers the chance to reach the Final Four of the Shakey’s V-League Season 6.

The Tigresses overwhelmed the Lady Blazers, 25-13, 25-16, 26-24, in the quarterfinal round Sunday at The Arena in San Juan City, according to V-League.ph.

Aiza Maizo tossed in 18 points for UST while Angeli Tabaquero made 12 points.

Giza Yumang, meanwhile, was the top scorer for CSB with 18 points.

UST will see action on Tuesday against the Far Eastern University Lady Tams while CSB will go against the San Sebastian College Lady Stags.

The other featured match on Tuesday is between the Adamson Lady Falcons and Ateneo-OraCare Lady Eagles. – With a report from The Philippine Star
