MANILA, Philippines – Billiards legend Francisco "Django" Bustamante promised he will win against fellow World 9-ball champion Daryl "The Dazzler" Peach of Britain in what could be another explosive Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face-Off Series on Saturday.

"Sa pagkakataong ito ay mananalo naman tayo,” said the 47-year-old Bustamante.

Bustamante, one of the top players of Aristeo "Putch" Puyat, is fresh from a bronze medal finish in the just concluded 26th Southeast Asian Games.

“I’m looking for another impressive performance on Saturday,” said the 39-year-old Peach, who hails from Castleford, West Yorkshire, England.

Peach tallied 7 straight racks to score a come-from-behind 9-7 victory over former WPA World 9-Ball and 8-Ball champion Ronato "Volcano" Alcano last Saturday.

Sports Betting at MegaSportsWorld favored Bustamante against Peach as of Friday.

A $1-bet on Bustamante would win $1.48, while a $1-bet on Peach would win $2.15.

The game will be a race-to-9, 10-Ball affair and will follow a winner's break format.

The PBB Face-Off series is jointly organized by the Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp. – By Marlon Bernardino
