Mayweather slams Pacquiao anew

MANILA, Philippines - Undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has taken another potshot at Filipino boxing icon Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao by saying the Filipino has 6 losses in his career instead of 3.

Pacquiao has a record of 54 wins, 3 losses and 2 draws, with his losses coming against Rustico Torrecampo in 1996, Medgoen Singsurat in 1999, and Erik Morales in 2005.

But Mayweather said Pacquiao has 6 losses in his record.

"(Pacquiao) lost more than 3 times. He already got 3 losses, and he lost to (Juan Manuel) Marquez 3 times. So he already got 6 losses," Mayweather said in an interview with Fight Hype.

In a separate Fight Hype interview, Mayweather reiterated his point, saying, "You want honesty, I'm giving it to you. Marquez fought Pacquiao 3 times, Marquez beat Pacquiao 3 times."

Pacquiao defeated Marquez via a controversial majority decision last November 12 in Las Vegas (November 13 in Manila). Mayweather said he did not watch the fight, but did say that "I heard Marquez got cheated."

Mayweather also trumped his spotless record.

"What I've done, no fighter has ever done. I faced 42, and I made all 42 look the same. It was easy," he said.

Money situation

Mayweather also criticized Pacquiao's status as a pay-per-view draw, claiming he "made more money in my last 2 fights than (Pacquiao) made in his whole career."

"How can you even say a guy like this is on my level?" Mayweather said.

Mayweather owns the record for the most number of pay-per-view buys for a fight, with his 2007 bout with Oscar de la Hoya garnering 2.4 million PPV buys.

Mayweather added he does not need to fight Pacquiao to cement his place in boxing history.

"I'm telling you now that I'm the best that ever did it, even without the Pacquiao fight," he said. "Like I said before, I'm extraordinary. I make every fighter look ordinary."

Mega-fight

Boxing fans have long asked for a Pacquiao-Mayweather mega-fight, with many saying it will be the most lucrative bout in the history of the sport.

Pacquiao recently confirmed negotiations were ongoing, although nothing has been finalized. His adviser, Michael Koncz, was reported to have met with Mayweather in the latter's Las Vegas gym.

Pacquiao also revealed that he is hoping his next fight will be against Mayweather.

"Kailangan panoorin n'yo yun, dahil napakagandang fight nun, kung matuloy," Pacquiao said. (If that fight pushes through, you have to watch it because it will be a good fight.)

Mayweather has already decided that he will fight on May 5, 2012, and is challenging Pacquiao to sign the contract for the mega-fight.

"May 5th is the date. Sign the contract, I'm waiting," Mayweather said, adding that he heard that Pacquiao is willing to undergo random urine and blood testing for the fight.

"You said you're a clean fighter... May 5th, I'm ready. I can sign today. But if I sign today, you better sign tomorrow," he said.

there he goes again

"What I've done, no fighter has ever done. I faced 42, and I made all 42 look the same. It was easy," he said.

what the?! Julio Cesar Chavez got his first loss after almost 87 wins. get that! 87! EIGHTY SEVEN! and his overall record, he's tallied 89 wins by KO! His KO wins alone are that's more than TWICE floydie's 42!

Rocky Marciano retired undefeated. At 49 wins. 43 of them by KO! His wins by KO is more than all floydie's wins. and he says "no fighter has ever done"?! B.S.!

nuff said!

bullseye

You hit that on the nose.... this trash talking "nigg" are all the same, just like all other "trash nigg" (hope that don't offend you). If he would just "walk the walk", as they say "he shoots himself on the foot" each time he opens his mouth.... a little "humble" won't hurt, but, it's not in his vocabulary.... Floyd, you want to talk crap, what about your trouble with the law, fool!!! Like hitting a woman, your woman, you're a fool.... how about your taxes have you paid them or are you gonna be another broke fool, after IRS gets you..... you're no extra ordinary money maker. Inflation helped you.... if only it was during Sugar Ray Leonard, about now, he will make more money than you, fool!!!!
mastereddie reporting.... out!!!

Manny Pacquiao is in trouble?

Manny Pacquiao is in trouble with his coming fight to be on May 5, 2012 with Floyd Mayweather, except Manny bring new armory, he will lose to Floyd Mayweather.

Manny Pacquiao fighting style is no longer effective, he must change his style and he must bring a new one.

Manny Pacquaio must shown to all that he is more fast, stronger and wise than Floyd Mayweather and he must prove that he has 100% accurate punches so that he can pin-down the Talkative boxer.

It is a great fight and I am waiting for it long time ago.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE IS A FREEDOM OF TASTE

Floyd is the small apple

Comparing 59 to 42 is comparing a big to a small apple.

Floyd needs to man up and fight at least 17 times before he can match Manny's accomplishments. If he fights 3 times a year, it will take him another 6 six years. Floyd is slowing down. Do you really think he will remain undefeated?

Floyd is not undefeated

Floyd lost a number of his amateur fights. In the Olympics, he was only #3 'cause he got a bronze medal. As a professional boxer, he is undefeated although many people believe he robbed Castillo. So if he claims Marquez won, Castillo also won.

The little fella is not Manny, it is Eric Morales or Robert Guerrero who appeal to Mexican's Cinco de Mayo.

That 2.4M PPV is to Dela Hoya's credit, not Floyd's!

Floyd is in a hurry to sign because he does not want to take the defamation deposition by January. Precisely what does he want now, sign a 50/50 purse split or sign a 60/40 in his favor?

Mayweather also has 1 loss

Mayweather also has 1 loss from Mayweather-Castillo I. He was given a controversial decision during this fight. Now we have a template on how to beat this chicken. Even Castillo said that Pac hits harder than Gayweather. Hope this fight pushes through. Gayweather's heart will be tested to the max.

Chirpy!

Here we go again Gayweather! talking like a parrot. I am longing this fight to see a 1 loss record. Let us see who is "little fellah".

Ang hula ko hindi matutuloy

Ang hula ko hindi matutuloy ang laban na ito, mukhang hihingi si Mayweather ng malaking hati kaysa kay Pacquiao.
