MANILA, Philippines - Mexican fighter Miguel Angel Mendoza is guaranteeing a knockout victory when he faces Filipino boxer Rey "Boom-Boom" Bautista this Saturday at "Pinoy Pride X."

Mendoza is undefeated through 17 fights, with all bouts being won via knockout. He is aiming to add Bautista (31-2, 23 KOs) to his list of his victims.

"I came to Cebu to fight, I will deliver a knockout," Mendoza said in an interview with PhilBoxing.com. "I will knock him out in six rounds."

Mendoza revealed that he has watched videos of Bautista and admitted that the Filipino featherweight is a complete, fast fighter.

"But I know how to look for openings," he added.

Bautista, who will be defending his IBF International Featherweight belt, is hoping that a win over Mendoza will push him towards contention for a shot at a world title.

Mendoza is aiming to disrupt Bautista's plans, saying he will go strong against the Filipino and exchange punches with him.

"It will be a hard fight, but not the hardest of my career," he said, adding that he has already fought strong Mexican fighters.

"Pinoy Pride X" will be shown on ABS-CBN on Sunday, December 11 starting 10:15 a.m.
