MANILA, Philippines – De La Salle University (DLSU) stakes its immaculate record against Far Eastern University (FEU) when UAAP Season 74 women’s volleyball resumes on Saturday at the Arena in San Juan.
The Lady Archers, the only unbeaten team so far this season, takes on the second-running Lady Tamaraws at 3:30 p.m., right after the other women’s match between Adamson University (AdU) and University of the East (UE) at 2 p.m.
The Lady Archers had to struggle in their first 2 games of the season against the Lady Falcons and the Lady Eagles, who forced the reigning titlists to 4-set matches.
But last Wednesday, the Lady Archers clinched its first straight-set win at the expense of NU, 25-21, 25-13, 25-7.
De La Salle, however, will face an FEU crew that is aching to recover from a 19-25, 25-21, 25-22, 16-25, 13-15 loss to UST so it can get back on the winning track.
In the men’s division, Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) takes on University of Santo Tomas (UST) at 9 a.m., and UE tackles University of the Philippines (UP) at 10:30 a.m.
FEU is currently tied in second to fourth places with Ateneo and Adamson. They all have 2-1 win-loss records in the women’s division, followed by UST, NU and UE with 1-2 apiece.
UP is winless in three matches.
