MANILA, Philippines – Ultimate Fighting Championship’s (UFC) Anderson Silva is seeking a 10-fight deal contrary to earlier reports that he’s planning to retire from the fight game soon.

UFC president Dana White said in a report by Bloody Elbow that he initially offered an eight-fight contract to the 37-year-old middleweight champion.

"[Expletive], I want a 10-fight deal," was Silva’s reply to White.

The UFC has been working to arrange two superfights for the Brazilian mixed martial arts (MMA) star.
One is a catchweight fight against reigning welterweight king Georges St-Pierre, the other is an Octagon bout with light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Also waiting for a title shot with Silva are middleweight contenders Chris Weidman, Michael Bisping, Strikeforce champ Luke Rockhold, Tim Boetsch and Alan Belcher.

Silva’s most recent fight was in the light heavyweight division when he beat Stephan Bonnar in UFC 153 last October.
