MANILA, Philippines – Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White called Top Rank chief executive officer Bob Arum "the dumbest promoter in the history of the world" for putting together a fourth bout between rivals Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.

In a report by the website 5th Round, White revealed that he had bet money on Marquez, despite being the "biggest Manny Pacquiao fan, ever."

"Dumbest fight in history," White said. "Bob Arum is a moron. You don’t take that fight, you idiot. Why would you do that fight? It's all about the money, that's why."

"That was a money fight, that's what the fight was done for," he added.

Pacquiao was a slight favorite entering the bout but was sensationally knocked out in the sixth round by Marquez.
White questioned Arum's decision to pit Pacquiao against Marquez, a fighter who has given him all he can handle in three previous fights.

"(Pacquiao's) one of the best fighters in the world. He goes out and fights Marquez again? Bob Arum is the dumbest promoter in the history of the world," White said.

In White's opinion, Pacquiao should have fought unbeaten American Timothy Bradley, who defeated the Filipino via an unpopular split decision in June. White said that will be a far easier fight for the "Pacman."

"Pacquiao should have fought Bradley. Bradley's the fight they should have done. He would have knocked Bradley out, he would have got his belt back and now he’s back in the position he should have been in," White said.

This is not the first time White has spoken out against Arum. In September 2012, White went on a expletive-laden tirade against Arum in an interview with MMA Fighting, wherein he criticized Arum for holding Pacquiao-Marquez IV on the same night as UFC on FOX 5.

"That's what they do, they went head-to-head the same night on TV. They're crazy... Bob's a (expletive). The guy is a (expletive). Seriously... I's like the guy can't, for some reason he hates the fact that this sport is doing well," White said.

"Other guys are able to make money. Other athletes are able to perform and do (expletive) great things. For some reason, that bothers the old bastard. You know what I mean? (Expletive) him," White said.
