Taekwondo's golden girl Toni Rivero added another gold medal to her already impressive collection with an intimidating performance in the welterweight division of the 14th ASEAN University Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Toni capped the Philippine Taekwonko team's final day of competition with a 4-0 thrashing of her completely overwhelmed Indonesian challenger.

Esther Marie Singson added a silver medal and Jeffrey Figueroa finished with a bronze in the featherweight division.

Paulo Ong contributed a bronze too in the welterweight division.

The Philippines finished second to Vietnam in the taekwondo competition with four golds, four silver and six bronze medals.

Over in the pool, the swimming team pulled out all the stops on the third day of the competitions and managed to bag one silver and two bronze medals.

Enchong Dee and the men's 4x100 meters freestyle relay team led in the first three laps but could not contend with Malaysian swimming sensation Daniel Bego in the anchor lap.

Nevertheless, Enchong now has the most medals for any athlete in the Philippine team -- one silver and two bronze.

The Philippines' medal tally is at seven gold, 11 silver and 18 bronze medals. Swimming will provide the team's final hurrah in the last day of competitions at the 14th ASEAN University Games. Anne Yosuico, ABS-CBN News
