MANILA, Philippines – The super bantamweight title fight between Filipino champion Nonito Donaire Jr. and Mexico’s Jorge Arce was a big hit in nationwide television ratings.

According to Kantar Media, the Donaire-Arce fight card garnered a total of 34.7% viewership nationwide.

The Juan Ruiz versus Victor Terrazas and the Alex Saucedo versus Eddie Cordova undercards registered 22.7% and 29.2%, respectively.

The ratings went up to 29.7% when Donaire and Arce climbed the ring for the main event.

Meanwhile, GMA’s Laban Ng Lahi Dugong Kampeon and Kapuso Movie Festival churned in 11.0% and 12.0%, respectively.

Both programs coincided with the Donaire-Arce card.
