Rep. Manny Pacquiao's new yacht, Sarangani's Pride.

MANILA, Philippines – World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao has bought a P25-million yacht as a Christmas gift to his family.

The Italian-made yacht, named "Sarangani’s Pride," is Pacquiao’s surprise treat to his family following his successful bout against Mexican champion Juan Manuel Marquez last November 12.

Pacquiao’s wife, Jinkee, said they had been dreaming of owning a yacht for sometime now.

“Andaming blessing na dumating atsaka ‘yung yate, iniisip lang namin dati na kelan kaya kami magkakaroon ng ganyan? Tapos ngayon, eto na,” she said.

The fully furnished vessel was blessed by a priest on Wednesday.

Pacquiao’s boat is considered as the “Ferrari” of yachts.

It carries 3 jet skis, worth P1 million each, and it can travel from Sarangani to Manila in a day-and-a-half.

Pacquiao said he and his family will have plenty of bonding time while riding the yacht.

"Regalo ko sa pamilya ko at sa mga kids ko, wife ko after ng [Marquez] fight," he said.

The “gift” is also seen by some as Pacquiao’s way to make up for a recent issue surrounding his marriage.

Shortly before the Marquez fight, rumors about Jinkee’s supposed plan to have her marriage to Pacquiao annulled circulated.

But this was vehemently denied by the boxing champion.

Jinkee now maintains that their problems are already a thing of the past.

"Actually, hindi ko na iniisip eh. Hindi ko na dapat iniisip ulit. Saka ‘di ko na dapat balikan pa," said Jinkee. -- With a report from Jay Dayupay, ABS-CBN News SOKSARGEN

if champion sya but ang kita dyan ay
pareho lang ng kita sa badminton na barya barya lang.
unlike basketball or football marami fans
na marunong maglaro nung sports na yun
sila mismo play it at school.
but boxing halos lahat never done it.
sugal sports yan.
kahit na nagtayo umano with permit from atienza daw
ng resort sa boracay on top of coral reef na dapat illegal
binuhusan ata ng simento yung coral reef.
e google nyo pacquaio resort sa boracay.
wala na kasing available fronting the white beach
station 1 to 3
kaya with the help of atienza na DENR boss dati
sa panahon ni gloria
nakakuha ng permit.
at yun yacht dun ang punta nun minsan.
eh presidente at congressman yan.
gumagawa ng batas.
allocate ng budget.
kami yan kay gloria.
wala na ata talagang pagasa etong pinas...
ipaalam natin kay pnoy
if hate or like
natin sya than pacquiao

It's simple

Why should he catch flak for buying something that he is entitled to. People need to understand that one cannot buy a 25-million PHP yacht like one would buy produce in the local grocer. You have to order these things beforehand. Get off you're conscientious facades people, this should be a non-issue. It's just the media's way of steering attention away from what really is important--the lapses of the local, and especially, the national government in the latest disaster.

And also...

Mind your own business people. Envy will only kill you. He may be a public servant, but he also has a career that's raking in big bucks no whammy. If you object to that, you should've brought that to the attention before he ran. Have a nice day. :)

Pacquiao Deserves It

Pacquiao is spending his own hard earned money. Unlike to corrupt politicians who raids the coffers of the Philippine government. He is building a hospital in part using his own money. Who does that in the Philippines? He made the Philippines relevant and made the Fil-Ams proud. He provides free medical services and medicines. What else do you want from him? By the way, ngarcia1966, what have you done? Did you contribute or donated in any way? Put up or shut-up!

To answer your question

To answer your question insider619, yeah I did. More than you and Pacquiao will ever know. I just don't brag about it nor do I drag a tv crew to highlight and make myself feel good. But then again, maybe ABS CBN will cover my donation the next time the Philippnes have another natural disaster that kills 5000 people and following the stories of how Manny bought the rest of the Philippines for his mother as well as how Aquino went to a Bar Mitzvah party.

You Assume Too Much ngarcia1966

The problem with most people is that they do not mind their own business. You care more about what Pacquiao has or has not done more than just minding your own business. You assumed that you did more without knowing who I really am. Self-made men takes care of their own and do contribute to their causes. Pacquiao has done a lot for the country. You cannot expect him to solve all of the country's problem. Though Pacquiao made a good living with his boxing profession, it does not compare to the wealth of the Ayalas, Lopez, Sy, Tan and many others who already owns their own yatchs. I don't see you calling them out. Do your own thing and mind your own business
