MANILA, Philippines - D-Link International, one of the world’s biggest suppliers of network products, announced Tuesday its partnership with Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of antivirus management solutions in Europe, as a Technology partner under D-Link’s Global Alliance Program. The partnership allows for D-Link to enhance and extend the capabilities of D-Link’s unified threat management (UTM) security solutions.

The alliance with Kaspersky Lab provides D-Link with extended anti-malware support for its NetDefend UTM firewall series, which is designed to guard network data from malicious attacks. In addition, the initiative allows both D-Link and Kaspersky Lab to combine marketing efforts in the promotion of joint solutions, and develop additional complementary products and services.

“We are pleased to have a company like Kaspersky Lab to join our Global Alliance Program,” said Mr Desmond Toh, Marketing Director, D-Link International Pte Ltd. “They have proven themselves as a leading organization that offers a high level of knowledge in not just Internet security, but anti-virus and mobile security as well.”

“We welcome this opportunity to strengthen our business relations with D-Link,” replied Peter Merkulov, Kaspersky Lab Vice President of Technology Alliances. “As the ranks of cybercriminals continue to swell, it is only through merging D-Link’s networking expertise with our experience in fighting malware that we can provide our customers with the advanced security protection they need.”

Prior to the alliance, D-Link and Kaspersky Lab had worked together, implementing Kaspersky Lab’s SafeStream anti-malware solution into the Company’s DFL-260 and DFL-860 UTM appliances.
