MANILA - Vandolph, son of comedy king Dolphy and Alma Moreno, looks back to a traumatic past.

Vandolph, who is a star in his own right, grew up in full view of the public, doing comedy and drama like his dad.

In 2001, when local showbiz was mourning the loss of the likes of Nida Blanca and Maria Teresa Carlson, Vandolph himself came close to joining them.

In Pangasinan, Vandolph crashed his F150 pick-up into an Isuzu Elf Truck. With him was his girlfriend Ishi Raquiza, his driver and bodyguard.

Vandolph was airlifted to Manila and brought to Makati Medical Center. While there, his girlfriend Ishi died. Meanwhile, Vandolph went through several operations to repair his damaged bones. He was also comatose.

Find out how Vandolph survived and coped with the trauma of the most unforgettable accident in his life with Ces Drilon, this Thursday, August 20 on “I Survived,” after “Bandila” on ABS-CBN.
