MANILA - The increasing number of internet shops and cafés in the country is a symptom of a growing addiction among the youth – the addiction to the internet.

On Monday, August 31, join Atom Araullo as he takes a slice in the life of an internet addict on “Kalye: Mga Kuwento ng Lansangan.”

Rafaela spends long hours and lots of money to surf, chat, and meet people on the web. Little does she know, although the internet provides many benefits, it also makes her susceptible to threats to her security and privacy.

Atom finds out if this addiction to the internet is more harmful than useful to young Filipinos.

Meanwhile, Sol Aragones retraces the steps of the hunted Apeng Santos kidnap-for-ransom gang. Unlike other gangs, they kidnap many people at once and demand for smaller ransom. Aragones reveals how to prevent being abducted by this dreaded group.

Anthony Taberna, on the other hand, shows how to get rich without leaving the province. Many Filipinos end up in poverty after trying their luck in Manila. Guadalupe Zuñiga almost did, too, but after going home to Quezon and starting her own business, she is now a major supplier of vegetables to Manila.
