MANILA - ABS-CBN’s longest running health and public service program “Salamat Dok” enters another milestone as it renews its partnership with Manila Doctors Hospital (MDH) for the third consecutive year.

In a signing held September 9 at the ELJ Communication Center Bldg., ABS-CBN Senior Vice-President for News and Current Affairs (NCA) Maria A. Ressa, with Newsgathering Head Charie Villa and NCA Sales head Yvette Novenario formally inked a one-year program sponsorship contract with MDH’s top management officials Atty. Nenuca P. “This marks another great and fruitful year for ‘Salamat Dok’ and MDH which have been working hand-in-hand to bring our audience credible and pertinent information they need regarding various health concerns or problems. We hope that this partnership will continue to grow for the benefit of the Filipino public,” said Executive Producer Marielle Catbagan.

For the past three years, MDH has been helping “Salamat Dok” by sending a representative from its pool of medical experts in various fields to talk about a chosen top health concerns and conditions as well as the latest diagnostic tests and treatment options.

MDH also provides doctors who render free medical consultation to an average of 100-150 patients during the program’s medical missions (held simultaneously with the live telecast) and accommodate other patients referred by “Salamat Dok” in their in-house surgical missions such as cataract removal, surgeries for cleft lip and cleft palate, ovarian tumors, and goiter.
