Working inside a deep excavation is nothing new to steel man Enrique Alvarez. But last August, he was almost buried alive in a construction site when a ton of wet cement was accidentally poured over a hole he was working in.

Enrique’s workmates had to use a crane to save him and another worker from the pool of cement. He miraculously survived the ordeal and was permitted to go home after just a few hours in the hospital.
