Where there is a story to tell, there is "The Correspondents."  ABS-CBN's premiere and longest-running investigative documentary program celebrates its 10th anniversary with a momentous re-telling of the decade's top stories this Tuesday (Nov 25).

"The Correspondents" will go back in time and around the world to relive the most significant and historical events that moved and enlightened Filipino viewers here and abroad starting with a walk through the turbulent road of hearings and rallies toward former President Joseph Estrada's peaceful ouster in the second EDSA Revolt.

Then fast forward to the disheartening feature on the plight of young Filipino kids who were slowly fading away because of hunger and malnutrition. The program will also bring its viewers back to the middle of warfare, from Basilan to Baghdad and Afghanistan.

The explosions continue in a heated feature on the ZTE scandal to be followed by an inspiring story on the incredible journey of the first three Filipinos atop Mt. Everest.

In this special episode, current anchors Karen Davila, Abner Mercado, Bernadette Sembrano and Ces Drilon are joined by other journalists who became part of "The Corrrespondents" in the past decade.

Since its inception in 1998, "The Correspondents" has strived to paint the most honest picture of the lives and experiences of Filipinos all over the world, as well as the events that take place around them.

The rocky path to 2008 was marked not only by changes and challenges but also countless awards and citations from respected award-giving bodies like the New York Television Awards, UNICEF, Catholic Mass Media Awards, Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas and USTv Awards.

To prove that the show continues to grow and get better, the program will be employing new tools in storytelling led by its correspondents. Expect deeper involvement from Ces, Abner, Bernadette and Karen as they become part of the stories themselves.

Next Tuesday (Dec 2), the correspondents will be tackling and dealing with issues close to their heart. Known for her brave reports in Mindanao, Ces will relive her own battle scars while tending to war-shocked soldiers in V. Luna Military Hospital as a nurse.

Correspondent Abner, meanwhile, will go back to live with the elderly in the Correctional, with some of those he met before already out of jail with the help of his documentary. Abner followed their cases from the Department of Justice to Malacanang and this time he will follow them to their homes and see how they are doing as free women.

Bernadette, known for her heartfelt features on Filipino families, will care for patients in a hospice and experience first hand the feelings and thoughts of a dying person.

Finally, Karen, who won a silver medal in the 2006 New York TV Awards for her story on minors in jail, will return with another feature on the youth as a teacher to special children.

Catch the most significant stories as told by the finest documentarians only on "The Correspondents'". Their two-part anniversary special airs this Tuesday, November 25 and December 2 on ABS-CBN after "Bandila."
