ABS-CBN Corp. chairman and CEO Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III highlighted the contributions of late news anchor Angelo Castro Jr. to the network, calling them "indelible and immeasurable."
“I will remember Angelo as one of the rocks upon which ABS-CBN was built. [He was] the quintessential ABS-CBN person. Angelo bled red, green and blue,” he said in a eulogy read by ABS-CBN president and chief operating officer Charo Santos-Concio on Teusday.
Lopez also described ACJ as a perfectionist, a true mentor, and one of the best news anchors in the country.
“Angelo Castro Jr. has left us but not without leaving a legacy. Angelo, your place in the pantheon of ABS-CBN is assured, your memory in the minds of every Filipino you inspired is infinite,” he said.
