Defense: Corona had to protect BGEI's money
Posted at 02/16/2012 9:21 PM
Defense lawyer Tranquil Salvador III explains in a press conference why Chief Justice Renato Corona had to close 3 peso accounts in Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) on December 12, 2011, the day he was impeached by the House of Representatives. Salvador said the monies in these accounts are not personal funds of Corona but are owned by Basa Guidote Enterprises Inc. (BGEI), a company owned by his wife, Cristina,. BGEI won an expropriation case from the City of Manila in 2001. -- ANC, Prime Time, February 16, 2012

Family Feud
Sabi ni Corona sa interview nya matagal na away pamilya iyon kaya hindi sya nakikialam, bakit nasa kanyang pangalan yung napagbilhan sa lupa ng Basa-Guidote property?
Call It Any Name But Still It Is Under Corona's Name
It is no longer the issue of who owns the money. The fact remains that the said amount was withdrawn under CJ Corona's name makes their excuses and explanations laughable and lame.
Bank deposited under your name is a legal declaration of that individual's assets. The bank deposits bearing your name can be use in all financial transactions, which includes loan application, credit checks, and even proof of financial stability when applying visas like US Visa.
Thus, for the defense and for CJ making such statements is not worth of anyone's attention. In fact, for them to make such declaration tells us that all of them, even the Chief Justice, do not know the meaning of "legal implications" and "accountability" in all of their actions.
It is under your name, it is yours. Period.
This defense is laughable
This defense is laughable because it does not make any sense. The defense is trying to fool the people once again but without success. Enough of this nonsense. It is time to convict Corona.
Kailangan na natin si Gus
Kailangan na natin si Gus Abelgas para ilabas ang hindi nagsisinungaling na ebidensya para ma-convict na si cj Corona, Anong (say) n'yo? OK ba???????
Good Riddance, Corona!
Good riddance, Corona! Hwag masyadong makapal ang mukha.
How, by making sure that the
How, by making sure that the rightful shareholders won't get anything until their death? Ilan na ba ang namatay? Why didn't they distributed the net assets before since BGEI is not operating anymore anyway. Or they are waiting for them to all rest in peace to make sure that the Coronas' are protecting well the BGEI?
Is that the right way to protect it? Ano na lang ang iisipin ng taumbayan nyan, kung pag-aari ng kamag-anak nila eh tinalo nila, paano na kung funds lang yan ng gobyerno?
protect
silly for the defense to say corona withdrew the money/s in order to protect them. the moneys, whether gbe's or not, are better off left in the bank where they will be safe and secure and earning high interests. withdrawing the moneys before the maturity of the time deposits will only attract penalties and fine.
LAST PLAN OF CJ CORONA
SC CLERK OF COURT VIDAL IS A BIG LIAR. SHE PRESENTED A FAKE SALN OF CJ CORONA TO THE IMPEACHMENT COURT. THE IMPEACHMENT COURT SO FAR NEVER ASK CJ CORANA IF THAT IS HIS AUTHENTIC SALN. THE REAL SALN OF CJ CORONA WILL BE EXPOUNDED BY THE DEFENSE PANEL IN THEIR TIME.
NOTE: THE STATEMENT BELOW IS COPY FROM GMA NEWS
More senators began to insist that she turn over the document after she admitted that she actually brought the SALNs to the Senate, even without permission from the SC.
