PSE approves ETF rules for public comment
MANILA, Philippines - A new product will soon be coming to the stock market called exchange traded funds (ETFs).
Philippine Stock Exchange president Hans Sicat says the rules for ETFs has just been approved for public comment.
The ETFs will make it easier for investors with smaller budgets to ride the main index's gains.
ETFs are similar to mutual funds as they track as set of stocks like the 30-member PSE index which has been soaring to record highs.
The difference is they are traded on the stock market and you invest in them the same way you buy any other stock. - Mornings@ANC, January 10, 2013
