Japanese gambling tycoon Kazuo Okada resigns from the board of Wynn Resorts, ahead of a shareholders vote for his ouster.

"It is with great reluctance and a broken heart that Mr. Okada decides to resign from the board," said Marc Sonnenfeld, legal counsel for Okada.
