Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares says taxpayers have "no excuses" for filing or paying last year's income taxes late, including those who miss banks' cut-offs on the last day, April 16.
She confirmed the cancelation of an abatement program for late filers and payers.
The bureau implemented "work-arounds" for the snags in its e-filing and payment system and revised tax forms, she said.
Businesses and other taxpayers can always file and pay manually, she said.
She said the government hasn't decided whether it will require next year information on interest income, property sales and other income already subject to final tax.
