The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas cut policy rates by a quarter percentage point (25 basis points) on Thursday as consumer prices rose at their slowest pace in more than two decades in June at 1.5 percent. The overnight borrowing rate now stands at a record low of 4 percent while the lending rate, at 6 percent.
