MANILA, Philippines - Cebu Pacific, which has drawn criticism for late flights, said it has improved on-time performance (OTP) to 86 percent in the third quarter.
A flight is considered on-time if it departs within 15 minutes of schedule.
Citing an international flight and airport information service, Cebu Pacific said the new score is better than its 70 percent performance in the first half.
Cebu Pacific said it is working to improve this further in part by working with the government to reduce airport congestion it blames for some of the delays. The airline urged the government to speed up the transfer of aviation schools and private planes out of Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
