April Lee Tan, research head of CitisecOnline, told ANC's Business Nightly on Friday that they are closely watching the ability of the government to collect revenues, not the budget deficit figures. The "disappointing" revenue collections--specially those from the tax and customs agencies--concern analysts like her since it is a gauge of how fast the country could recover when the global economy turns for the better.
