International Monetary Fund chief Christine Lagarde lauds Philippine officials for managing the economy "excellently" during difficult times.
Lagarde, the first woman to head the IMF, arrived in Manila Thursday, as part of her tour of Asian countries to gather inputs on how to solve the euro zone debt crisis.
Lagarde made special mention that the Philippines is now a creditor of the IMF. However, President Aquino was a no-show during the courtesy call in Malacanang this morning, because he "wasn't feeling well."
