Pinoys charged in arms smuggling ask for case dismissal
Three Filipino men accused of exporting military grade weapons will face a federal judge in Los Angeles and ask for their case to be dismissed.
Sergio Syjuco, Cesar Ubaldo, and Arjyl Revereza were arrested in Los Angeles in December of 2011 after federal agents, who posed as Mexican drug lords, enticed them to come to North America.
Investigators claimed they were able to purchase high-powered weapons from the men from the Philippines.
The three men are scheduled for a jury trial at the end of this month.
