Hong Kong's highest court has ruled against two Filipino domestic helpers who are seeking permanent residency.
In a unanimous 5-0 ruling, The Court of Final Appeal sided with government's position that domestic helpers don't have the same status as other foreign residents.
Eman Villanueva, secretary general of the United Filipinos in Hong Kong, tells ANC the repercussions of the ruling.
"[The] decision strengthens notion that domestic helpers are second class citizens," Villanueva says. - ANC, Prime Time, March 25, 2013
