Polling hours in Jeddah will be extended from eight to nine hours.
Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes told ANC this will make up for the delay in the absentee voting there.
"What we resolved is that we're going to add one hour per day starting the [April] 16th to cover for the deficiencies on the first day. So, the Jeddah voting in Saudi Arabia we expect on the 16th but we will have a 9-hour voting instead of 8 hours starting on the 16th up to May 13," says Brillantes.
Brillantes is in Hong Kong to oversee the absentee voting.
He says only 536 came to vote on the start of the polls there.
But the poll chief expects the turnout to increase as voting moves closer to the last day, May 13. – ANC World Tonight, April 13, 2012
