Fil-Am leader seeks more help for Dondon Lanuza
MANILA, Philippines - Loida Nicolas Lewis, the national chairperson of the US Pinoys for Good Governance, is urging Filipinos all over the world to help save the life of overseas Filipino worker Dondon Lanuza.
Lanuza has been languishing in jail for 12 years and is facing the death sentence for allegedly killing a Saudi national in self defense.
“We have been raising funds and the Philippine government is putting up 450,000 riyals and we are trying to match that,” Lewis said on ANC.
She added, “Right now, we are two million short of matching the government. Hindi pa siya nakakalabas. He's still in jail”.
“You now it’s one life that we can save. People can do it by going to our website www.helpdondon.com."
