Pinoy inmate in Kuwait appeals for help
Joseph Urbiztondo has been in Kuwait Central Jail for 16 years, serving his sentence for allegedly killing a Bangladeshi national in 1996. Urbiztondo denied the crime, saying he was just framed.
He said he sought help from the Philippine government in the past years, but to no avail.
Urbiztondo now pins his hopes on Vice President Jejomar Binay.
In a handwritten appeal to Binay, he expressed his hope that the Vice President would help him secure the KD6,000 blood money, and the tanazul from the victim's family, as requirements for his release. The Bureau, July 3, 2012
