MANILA, Philippines - Taiwanese-American artist James Jean, who first achieved fame as cover artist for DC Comics series "Fables", bares his latest art book titled "Rebus." In an ANC interview, Jean said he is thankful for the opportunity to do Fables covers for 7 years since it gave him a sense of legitimacy.

He said the exposure allowed him to widen his horizons and do artwork for advertising and other media.

Asked to describe his art, he said: "It just comes from within. It's sort of a surreal narrative...It's emotional, intellectual and visceral at times."
