A loser buried in bad debt and costly favors from his cunning boss ends up in a seedy deal. This is at the core of “Palitan”, an erotic, psychological thriller set in the gritty streets of Quiapo, Manila.
Life is all about drama, or so goes “Melodrama Negra”, a screen adaptation of Allan Lopez’ Palanca Award-winning stage play. It goes into the lives of the fortunate who have both power and access, and the choices that they make.
“Melodrama Negra” director Maribel Legarda and actor Gee Canlas, as well as “Palitan” director Ato Bautista and actors Mara Lopez and Alex Medina visit the set of “Mornings@ANC” to share their thoughts about the two films from Cinema One Originals.
