Brazil lights world's largest floating Christmas tree
A large Christmas tree in the middle of the sea?
Yuletide in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil kicked off last Saturday with the lighting of the world's largest floating Christmas tree. Over 100,000 people watched a six-minute fireworks show above the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon in the center of which was an 85-meter tree.
Its lighting is Rio's third-biggest tourist event after the carnival and New Year's Eve on Copacabana beach.
