MANILA, Philippines - Gen. Jessie Dellosa, chief of staff of the Armed Forces, relinquished his post to the incumbent commanding general of the Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Emmanuel Bautista, in a simple ceremony today at the AFP grandstand.

In his speech, Dellosa said the military is now at a crossroads as the government pushes forward peace negotiations with internal security threat groups.

He said the AFP's challenge is to have constant vigilance and achieve internal peace objectives.

He also thanked President Aquino for placing trust in him.
