Jun Lozada, family go into hiding
National Broadband Network (NBN) deal whistle-blower Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada said he and his family have transferred to an undisclosed location after armed men visited their house in Pasig City.
Lozada said that yesterday afternoon, six armed men who identified themselves as employees of the Pasig City Postal Office went to his house.
"Akala ko eh sa pang-limang taon medyo makakaluwag-luwag na tayo, pero mukhang nagbago na naman ang ihip ng hangin," he said. "Wala na kami sa bahay ngayon, at natatakot ang pamilya ko sa nangyaring ito."
He said he is expecting an arrest warrant after the Ombudsman denied his bid to drop graft charges that were filed against him in connection with alleged anomalous deals for the lease of government lands by his brother, Jose Orlando Lozada, with the Philippine Forest Corp. during the time that he headed the agency.
He also lamented that the current administration continues to employ his former subordinate in Philippine Forest Corp. and complainant in the case, Erwin Santos.
