PNoy hit for allegedly abandoning Lozada
MANILA, Philippines -- Sandra Cam, president of the Whistleblowers' Association of the Philippines, has criticized the Aquino administration for allegedly abandoning NBN-ZTE whistleblower Jun Lozada.
Lozada is crying foul over the arrest warrant issued by the Sandiganbayan for graft charges filed against him before the Office of the Ombudsman.
The case stems from Lozada's alleged involvement in questionable leasehold rights grants as president of the Philippine Forest Corporation (PFC) in 2009.
Lozada also deplored the government's treatment of whistleblowers, noting his accuser, Erwin Santos, was even appointed as head of the PFC.
Lozada testified on the allegedly anomalous multi-million dollar broadband network deal entered into by government with Chinese firm ZTE during the Arroyo administration. - ANC Primetime, February 7, 2013
