Romy Mac thinks Corona made wrong move
MANILA, Philippines - Lawyer Romulo Macalintal believes Chief Justice Renato Corona made a wrong move when he asked the Supreme Court to stop his impeachment trial.
Speaking to radio dzMM, Macalintal said the timing of the petition is suspect especially now that the trial has reached its 14th day.
"Ngayon pa e kalagitnaan na? Hindi maganda politically ang nasabing move ng ating Chief Justice. Para sa amin, maaaring legally tama siya pero politically hindi iyon tatanggapin ng taumbayan dahil matapos magparticipate at magcross-examine ka, nagsubmit ng documents at nag file ng motion tapos ngayon mo lang dadalhin sa Korte Suprema," he said.
He said even raising the validity of the impeach complaint was questionable especially since the Senate had already decided on the matter.
"Di na pinapansin yun dahil ngayong lumabalas na yung bank documents saka lang sila pupunta sa hukuman," he said. Radio DZMM, February 9, 2012

I have said it before and I will say it again and again that a person who is not in the state of God's grace is confused and planning his own destruction. This person is no other than CJ Corona.

People will really wonder "WHY NOW"?
The timing is REALLY suspect. It happened just as the bank records were coming out. Now, someone who is more concerned with the law might agree with the move from a legal perspective. But, the rest of the country would be more inclined to ask
"Ano ba talaga ang laman ng bank account?",
"Bakit nila tinatago ang dollar account?",
"Kung hindi naman makakasama sa kaso nila ang laman ng bank record, eh bakit hindi na lang ipakita para matapos na?".

I'm sure Corona knows by this time that the only way to clear his good name is to volunteer to show his accounts. He doesn't really expect to return to his post with a BIG question mark about his honesty and integrity, does he?
