Miriam: Use of fake docs grounds for disbarment

MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago on Tuesday said the use of a fake document or fake testimony in a trial can be grounds for disbarment. She said House prosecutors still had a liability even if they did not know that bank documents purportedly on Chief Justice Renato Corona's accounts were fake.
She also denounced the prosecution's explanation that it was their duty to reveal the documents before the impeachment court.
"Duty, my foot! It is your liability."

Very well said Madam Senator. Kung fake nganaman ang basihan, anong klaseng evidence mayroon ang prosecutor. Ganoon na lang parang blind item ang dating. What a shamekung totoo ngang fake. Lesson learn for them.

You don't pick up an account number from a thin air. Puwede ba tumahimik ka na lang? Nasisira ang araw ko kapag naririnig kita at di ko kailangan ang lecture mo, get it? Santiago should not continue
Santiago should not continue to reprimand the prosecution panel... There is no doubt that the prosecution panel is not good as they are more of a politician rather than a lawyer. It's pretty obvious she is for CORONA so I am hoping that she would just stay home until the impeachment is over.

The International Criminal Court appears to have made a grievous mistake in selecting Miriam Defensor Santiago as one of its judges. Just look how she behaves at the Senate Impeachment Court. She gives everybody high blood pressure! Since, I’m sure she will vote to acquit CJ Corona, she could have just written down her decision with all those legal principles, decisions, etc. etc. etc.
As for the so called “fake” bank documents, we should find out what part of it has been altered. Because all the numbered accounts are true, existing and correct. Most likely someone from the bank photo copied the documents, then altered part of it, have them re-photo copied and leak it to media and the prosecution team. That’s how you will do it to cover your tracks. No doubt the documents came from the bank itself.
