Miriam praises PSBank's Tiongson

MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago on Monday praised Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) Katipunan branch manager Annabelle Tiongson for refusing to divulge any information about Chief Justice Renato Corona's bank accounts.
Santiago said Republic Act 6426, or the Foreign Currency Deposit Act of the Philippines, bars any inquiry or examination as to the details of any foreign currency account.
The FCDA is a legacy of the martial-law era, having been signed into law by the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos in 1974.
Santiago questioned how House prosecutors were able to get allegedly leaked copies of Corona's bank records.

A wise person knows that there is an exception to every rule
The evidence should stand, there should be an exception to every rule. You do not blindly follow the law without reason. Say you are a janitor and your responsibility (on paper) is to mop floors, when somebody slips on the wet floor isn't it ethical to help them up or would you argue that isn't your responsibility? Everybody has a social responsibility. Rational thinking is what makes us different from animals.
Mirriam is hiding something!
This Sen. Judge is hiding something in the bank that she's afraid that if her colleagues will allow the opening of foreign or dollar accounts of Corona her deposits is also in danger. These are technicalities that the common tao could not appreciate. The people want the truth as long as there are people who opposes the truth to surface there will be doubt on the integrity of Corona. Speculation will and still arise as long as he keeps on hiding from his bank 4 cornered walls. So sad that this woman is not using her intellect in let the truth comes out so sad! Let the truth comes out and it will set us all free!

Tama naman na kung nasa batas dapat sundin. Wag pairalin ang law maker, law breaker. Idaan lagi sa tama para kung ano man ang kalalabasan, tanggap ng karamihan dahil ang tamang process ay nasunod at walang short-cut. Kahit anong trials basta may nilabag na batas, tiyak na may magdududa. Kung kayang tapusin ang trias sa tama, gawin para sa ating bansa. Ipakita sa buong daigdig na marunng tayong mgapatupad ng demokrasiya.
