MANILA – A spokesman of the sultanate of Sulu on Tuesday admitted followers of Raja Muda Agbimuddin Kiram fear for their lives after Malaysian forces started an attack on their group in Sabah, Malaysia.

“Ang totoo natatakot na ang mga iba,” said spokesman Abraham Idjirani. He noted that Malaysian forces could easily crush Kiram’s group.

“This is a manifestation that we are doing this with a cause. It is dedicated to the Filipino people,” he said.

Idjirani said a Malaysian fighter jet is dropping bombs about a kilometer away from the place where Kiram and his men are hiding. He said he did not ask Kiram to tell him where he is hiding.

The spokesman again criticized the Philippine government for refusing to talk to their group about their demands.

“Their refusal to talk with us is now a sign that this is the kind of national policy they are adopting towards the issue,” he said.
