I disagree to your comments. It looks like you have been so much influenced by foreign perspectives. We have to look within ourselves as Filipinos and understand our culture. This is how we value an individual who have done so much to the Filipino people.

Another extravagance! If Cory is alive, I am confident she would rather wish these expenditures distributed to the needy. These pictures are non-sense! What Cory needed are prayers for peace and unity. If the proceeds of these expenditures were instead used to buy even just bread and drinks for the poor while saying prayers in the park then it should have been more beneficial.
For us to believe that these were initiated by private sectors, can you itemize their names? Even if this is true, for sure they are the leeches of the society who sucks to the President for their own unending greediness, (mga sip-sip). Or, are these again the idea of government officials spending people's money para sumipsip sa Presidente? I am just hoping that the President will think about this and admonish all government officials to san this kind of attitude. Cory and the Filipino people do not need this. What we
need are honesty, loyalty and dedication. Magbago na tayo!
Cory Aquino has not done
Cory Aquino has not done anything for the betterment of the Filipino people during her tenure as president. She was more interested for the downfall of the Marcoses including all the innocent children. I have not seen any progress compared to other Asian nations.

Pres. Cory could have accomplished a lot had Marcos and Enrile loyalists not messed everything up by launching several coup attempts and scaring away investors. My guess is you were cheering for those putschists to succeed.

Filipino people have different ways of showing love and gratitude. You may be right but it looks like you need to look more closely the Filipino culture. From there you will understand why.
