P.Noy, Robredo 'di lusot sa hostage investigation


"No whitewash whatsoever."

Inunahan na ng pinuno ng Incident Investigation and Review Committee ang mga haka-hakang mauuwi lamang sa "whitewash" ang pagsisiyasat nila sa Manila hostage crisis.

Ayon kay Secretary Leila de Lima, malinaw ang utos ni Pangulong Aquino na maging patas ang imbestigasyon.

Hindi raw magdadalawang-isip ang komite na imbitahan mismo ang Pangulo kung kinakailangan.

"It's not being ruled out, although at the moment there is no such plan. Kung makita namin sa mga documents na there's a need also to get some information from the President we will consider that," ani De Lima.

Maging ang vice-chairman ng komite na si DILG Secretary Jesse Robredo na namamahala sa Philippine National Police (PNP) ay maaari rin daw kwestyunin.

“Hypothetically, there would be some indication of that. That would not prevent the committee, command responsibility could go as high. So depende sa overall findings," dagdag ni De Lima.

Ito raw ang dahilan kung bakit mayorya ng mga miyembro ng komite ay mula sa pribadong sektor para matiyak na magiging patas ito.

Nilinaw rin ni De Lima na hindi sakop ang imbestigasyon ng Senado sa gag order na iniutos niya sa PNP, National Bureau of Investigation at iba pang mga sangay ng gobyerno.

Bagama't may maseselang bahagi ng imbestigasyon na pansamantalang hindi ilalabas, nilinaw ng komite na bukas sa publiko at sa media ang kanilang proceedings at clarificatory hearings.
