Nakita rin ni Pangulong Noynoy Aquino ang inaasahan niyang tamang pagresponde ng assault team sa hostage situation pero sa praktis nga lang ng Special Action Force sa Camp Bagong Diwa kanina. Is this the kind of response you are expecting Pnoy?
mukhang pagtatawanan lang ng hostage taker ang mga yan habang palapit.
Bago pa nakalapit at nagamit ng mga SAF na yan ang mga tools na dala nila, nabaril na yan isa isa at nagtakbuhan palayo na bahag ang buntot!

at para saan yung APC na ibinangga nyo sa bus? para saktan ang mga nahostage?
hindi lang naman yung hostage taker ang nakasakay sa bus para sagasaan nyo ng tangke! mga TANGE!

Well, nangyari na ang nangyari...magiging aral na sana ito sa ating mga leaders na bigyan nila ng priority ang modernization ng ating hukbong pwersa, PNP at AFP para hindi lagi tayo nag sisisihan at nag tuturuan pag dating ng oras. Hostage crisis palang un, pumalpak na tayo dahil sa maraming kakulangang gamit at ka alaman ng ating pwersa....eh, lalo na kaya kung sa malakihan na???...panawagan lang po mahal na presidente...seguro naman sa panahon mo ay may maasahan ding pag babago ang ating pwersa na kulilat na sa asia...

I'll use a sniper, Nip it in the bud - you deal with a problem when it is still small, before it can grow into something serious.

One shot one kill.

The scenario as shown, should be done in the cover of darkenss, hayyy.. tsk tsk.

but their means of getting in the bus are so terrible. even on simulation! the element of surprise was already gone if they try to go in that slow, has to be within 5 sec. here's a link to all the SAF so that they would know what I meant.

I saw that video it's great. They should reconsider that also SAF, SWAT or Elite squad should have an age limit, no offense.

Why they used triangle shape to make the windows explode? I think square is much appropriate for the windows, it lessen the hammering section(every seconds are precious). Also dog and bulldozer will be helpful; first dog can attack as soon as they open the bus door to lessen the risk of our officers and also to distract the hostage taker; second bulldozer(http://www.autodieseltanks.com/images/bulldozer-oil-tank.jpg) or something that will level the officers to the windows, they can put three officers to the bulldozer(hide on the spoon shape) then position it at the back of the bus while some officers are attacking the front side of the bus. I think the procedure still took so long and I bet they can do better than that. P.S. SAF should be physically fit (I strongly recommended).

that device is what they call a window breacher. It has a detcord (detonating cord) shaped in the for of a square or rectangle used to breach windows...

the 2nd device they used there is a C4 plastic explosive placed inside a plastic water bottle, water does not expand or compress that easily, it just destroys the door with brute force...

I do not about the 3rd option, it's stupid... classic Filipino stupidity...

That's a good idea sending a well trained dog or dogs. It will surprise the hostage taker as dogs are much quicker. At the same time, send the troops in all other directions. As you said it needs to be swift coordinated action. It will also help for the assault team to wear night vision goggles.
