Officials from PAG-IBIG and GSIS assured the public that they are ready to grant loans to Ondoy victims.

In an interview at Umagang Kay Ganda, GSIS Executive VP for Operations Connie Manansala says that the P5 billion calamity fund will be available to affected members from October 1, 31, 2009. They can avail of the loan thru the various kiosks that GSIS will be opening in accesible locations.

Meanwhile, PAG-IBIG started granting calamity loans since Monday. According to PAG-IBIG CEO Jaime Fabiana, they already received more than 1,000 loan requests and they will release the loans today thru checks or ATM fund transfer.
