DSWD eyes bunk houses for 'Pablo' victims
MANILA, Philippines - Social Welfare Dinky Soliman said the national government is eyeing the building of bunk houses to help residents who lost their homes during typhoon "Pablo."
Soliman said the bunk houses will be used as temporary dwelling places in disaster-hit areas after the typhoon destroyed most of the houses there.
"Priority is to build bunk houses...Most of the structures in the area including the gym [in New Bataan] used as evacuation center was affected. The roof was blown off," she told Mornings@ANC.
She said a C-130 plane will be bringing tents and relief goods to flood-hit towns in Davao Oriental and Compostela Valley.
